My daily paintings this month are all on paper that has been delivered to my door via the post - so thank you to: Specsavers, Liz Earle, Raemoir Garden Centre, BP, etc., and of course to Mr Postman. I am finding the differing textures and finishes interesting to paint on and layer up with acrylic paint. Now - if only I could get someone to deliver free paint to my door....................
As I have mentioned here before, I love the idea of mail art - I love the idea of mail that is not a bill or junk-mail, and the handmade aspect of a lot of mail art is really attractive to me. Earlier in the year I took part in the Positive Postcards exhibition (my contribution below), which was shown by Making Mental Health Positive at the Lowry Art Gallery in Manchester - thanks to Steven Darbyshire for organising.
Writing - I am experimenting with different types of writing and audiences at the moment. Also, I have had another of my small stones (short pieces of observational writing) published in the A Handful of Stones blogzine, 10th November - this one is from after a summer rain storm.
Hat Status: Winter hats are goooooo!
