A recent challenge has been making a 'sound-track' of myself speaking the titles of my July Daily Paintings - The Poem of My July. Challenging to use a voice recorder and hear my 'auld craw on helium' voice - it was so tempting to ask someone else to read for me (Mike Scott where are you), but, in the end, it had to be me. You can watch (sound on if you are brave) the results here:
PAINTING STATUS: I am taking part in Drawing August - see my efforts here - this is a challenge, on twitter, to draw - in any form, every day for the whole of August. I have taken the opportunity to play around with different styles - from doodles to water-colour. Very much enjoying working in my sketchbook - bringing out the young goth girl I just about was, and well on the way to that gorgeous 'fat sketchbook' feeling. Daily Paintings - intermittent at present.
READING STATUS: Fallen heir to a, gasp, kindle. (no one died. Thanks Jill)
WRITING STATUS: Meh.
COFFEE STATUS: Supplies are running short - any suggestions for something new to try from you folks?
WILDCARD: It has been a year of challenges and doing things I never thought I could achieve - what could possibly happen next?
