January 2014 will be the 12th month of my daily paintings - way back in February of 2013 I would never have dreamed that I could continue for a whole year. When that year is complete - I will decide what to do next - though many ideas are brewing.
To make more time and space to paint - I will be cutting back on my adventures in cyberland - or perhaps just being more selective. We only got broadband to our cottage at the end of July 2013, since then there has been this website and blog, facebook, tumblr, twitter - a virtual whirlwind of activity. Going forward I hope to publish this blog fortnightly, instead of weekly (who needs a weekly hat update anyway?).
Hat Status: I shall be needing a story-telling hat soon - the hunt is on for a new hat!
Painting Status: Steady as she goes.
Writing Status: Delighted to have had a 'small stone' v short piece of observational writing - published in A Handful of Stones Blogzine (26th December entry). I shall be taking up the January Challenge again this year: to write a 'stone' every day for the month - new notebook at the ready.
Reading Status: Adding my Christmas haul - 'Joan Eardley' by Christopher Andreae, and 'Adventures of a Waterboy' by Mike Scott - to my tower of lovely books to read.
Best wishes to all - may your 2014 be sprinkled with fairy-dust.
F. E. Clark, 30th December, 2013.
