I was delighted to have been awarded an Honourable Mention from ArtAscent magazine for my submission of 3 paintings to their Blue themed issue, even more excited to find that I was on the actual cover. I use blue a lot in my work - for me, it is: the colour of the sea, sky, hills, the kind blue of a lover's eyes, it can evoke - cold, warmth, mystery and silence.
I am also very pleased that both my daily paintings, and larger, more finished paintings, are equally enjoyed by people.
I have finally managed to put my whole 'Year of Daily Painting' up on the website here - all 12 monthly 'Maps' - you can see them here. I continue to offer these wee paintings for sale - enquiries welcome, you can contact me here. Here are some that have headed off to new homes recently:
Wildcard Status: We are 'off the grid' until BT come and sort out our phone and internet router - so intermittent access via family, friends' and public library computers - please have patience.
Painting Status: 2 larger paintings still to resolve - needing space and time.
Writing Status: This is it.
Reading Status: Enjoying reading: Sue Monk Kidd's - 'The Invention of Wings' and delighted to have 'found' R.J. Ellory's books - they are referred to as thrillers, but I think they have something rather magic and mystical about them.
Coffee Status: Hmmmm, let us not mention coffee snaffling colleagues.
