This is not to say these paintings are easy - they fight back, refuse to play, fail - but with all that, they are a joy for one who so long had an absence of creativity, colour and texture in their life. My daily paintings to date can be viewed from here on my website.
I am delighted that my 'Energy Feather' has arrived safely in Norway, for the Twitter Art Exhibition - which, this year will be raising funds for Home-Start Moss in Norway. The exhibition begins on the 12th of March 2015, each piece - all postcard size work from artists worldwide, will be sold at $35. A lovely exhibition to be involved with, and a grand opportunity to use art in a powerful way. |
Energy Status: Even with the threat of snow, there is a lengthening of the days - the urge to get out and explore is strong and we have been visiting sacred sites and stone circles - reading from various sources, including Julian Cope's The Modern Antiquarian.
Writing Status: I have begun taking part in some of the flash fiction challenges on the internet - finding an inspiring community of writers there. Terribly excited to have had my Inheriting the Mask piece chosen for last week's Flash Frenzy from The Angry Hourglass - you can read it here.
Painting Status: Daily paintings - full steam ahead!
Reading Status: All the fabulous flash fiction creations that are written for - Three Line Thursday, Micro Bookends, Flash Friday, Flash Frenzy - I am rather in awe of these people. Dipping in and out of The Modern Antiquarian by Julian Cope.
Coffee Status: A double treat this weekend, lovely mocha at Platform 22 AND one at The Treehouse.
