Sunday was an almost impossibly bright, sunny day here in Scotland,
An Indian Summer day.
We drove out Deeside to Dinnet and walked at Loch Kinnord,
Saw swans, ducks, a lone woodpecker.
Lay on our backs by the side of the loch and looked up at the Silver Birches,
Leaves just beginning to turn yellow, against the brightest of blue skies.
Eyes saturated with bright colours.
Woodsmoke on the still warm air - Equinox Day in Scotland.
Store it away for deep winter.
