The gorgeous red of the Willow Herb in autumn cheers my spirit. Willow Herb is considered a weed here, very difficult to get rid of - but the beautiful rose/purple flowers, then the red and rust of its leaves - provide such colour. I was fascinated to hear that Willow Herb is called Fireweed in the USA - not because of its glorious colour, but because it springs up in areas cleared by fire.
During the past week, I took part in Satya Robyn's Mindfulness Writing Day, and wrote and shared this short piece of observational writing:

I have begun my 10th month of making daily paintings - this month's are 5" square, on recycled paper.
The exhibition at the Inchmore Gallery has opened, with news that one of my wee paintings has sold - 3 still looking for good homes!
